New York, NY – Brought together shortly before the Covid-19 pandemic, Hierophant (Alex Van Gils, Alec Goldfarb, and Carrie Frey) kept a weekly music-making appointment, as much for the lifeline as for the results. This EP showcases six tracks produced by distanced layering, signal and noise crossing city streets and canals, siphoning arcane knowledge from the ether they traveled.

Drawing on the Hierophant’s inverted tarot meaning, the trio marks a break with convention, calling up a maelstrom of sounds reminiscent of noise, metal, baroque strings, the bath-house scene from John Wick, and more.
